PMS 347, LSM Program Office, will be conducting an Industry Day on December 19, 2025, for the Medium Landing Ship (LSM) Program. The Navy is seeking participation from U.S. based Vessel Construction Manager (VCM) firms. The purpose of this engagement is to provide an overview of the LSM Program and to facilitate input from industry for market research purposes to best inform potential acquisition strategies for management of vessel.

The Navy envisions to procure 18 – 35 LSM vessels to provide the U.S. Marine Corps with distributed maneuver and logistics capability.  PMS 347 is exploring the use of a VCM to assist with this procurement.  VCM tasks may include selection and award of shipbuilding efforts, configuration management of the design across multiple shipyards, oversight of shipyard construction, negotiation and/or purchase of class standard equipment to be used by all shipbuilders, provisioning, crew training, and turnover to a Government crew.
