INDUSTRY DAY FOR MILL SPRINGS MILL RESTORATION
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District is hosting an Industry Engagement Day, on Monday, 20 October 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET at the Mill Springs Mill, in Monticello, KY.
USACE Nashville District has a requirement for a historic restoration project at the Mill Springs Mill, KY. We anticipate the scope of work for this project to be primarily the restoration of the Mill structure. The nature of the historic restoration work has to be compliant with the Historic Preservation Act (HPA). The Mill is a historic building and on the National Register of Historic Places. Any work should be done according to the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Rehabilitation, and that any changes to methods and materials outlined in our report (Historic Building Maintenance Manual for Mill Springs Mill, Mill Springs, Kentucky) would need to go through Section 106 with the SHPO.
The project will ONLY be solicited to the MATOC holders under the construction DB MATOC which includes Geiger Brothers Inc., Howard W. Pence Inc. and Brad Cole Construction Company. However, we would also like to invite any subcontractors that are interested in meeting the MATOC pool, to attend the Industry Day.
Attendees will meet at the Mill no later than 10AM Eastern Time.
