The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Dover Air Force Base Dormitory, Dover, DE.

Contract work consists of:

• Construct a 245-room dormitory consisting of a multi-level steel frame structure with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slabs, interior corridors, interior/exterior walls and finish systems, sloped metal roof, elevators, pavements, utilities, and other supporting site features. The dormitory space shall include Enhanced 1+1 room configurations with a private bathroom, living modules and laundry, vending, storage, administrative, recreation, and supporting facilities. The site work includes all utilities, site improvements, pavements, antiterrorism and force protection features, security enhancements, and other supporting work necessary to provide a complete and useable facility.
• Innovative construction methodologies including industrialize/modular/panelized construction will be considered.  There is a strong interest in attracting industry partners outside those with previous federal contracting experience including prime and subcontractors with experience with dormitory construction for universities and similar owners.

Estimated cost range of the project is $100M-$150M.
