DHS Office of Health Security Occupational/Employee Health Electronic Health Record & Medical Information System Virtual Industry Day

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Health Security Virtual Industry Day for Occupational/Employee Health Electronic Health Record and Medical Information System.

Purpose

The DHS Office of Health Security (OHS) will host a virtual Industry Day to engage industry about its capabilities in the area of Occupational/Employee Health Electronic Health Records and related Management Information Systems (Occ Health EHR/MIS). The goals of this event are to:

  • Inform industry of DHS-wide occupational and employee health EHR/MIS requirements, needs and objectives;
  • Understand current commercial capabilities and deployment approaches; and
  • Obtain feedback that may inform future acquisition planning and strategy.

NOTE: Participants are encouraged to review the Request for Information posted at SAM.gov prior to the event.

Event Format and Dates

This will be a fully virtual, two-day event held May 26 – May 27, 2026.

Day 1 – Government Presentations (Plenary Meeting) May 26, 2026 9:00-11:00 AM ET

Day 1 will consist of DHS-led briefings, including:

  • Overview of OHS mission and DHS occupational health context; Overview of the DHS Medical Information Exchange, which is the over-arching electronic health record program for DHS spanning multiple mission domains.
  • Presentation of the draft Occ Health EHR/MIS vision, draft SOO, and key requirement areas;
  • Perspectives from OHS leadership (including the Chief Medical Officer, if available), the OHS Total Workforce Protection Directorate (TWPD) division, the Health Information Systems and Decision Support (HISDS) Unit, and DHS OCIO as appropriate;
  • High-level requirements deep dive (privacy/governance, surveillance, case management, reporting/analytics, interoperability, implementation); and
  • Structured Q&A with OHS and DHS stakeholders.

All interested vendors may attend Day 1, subject to registration and platform capacity.

Day 2 – One-on-One Market Research Meetings Demonstration Sessions (By Invitation Only) May 27, 2026 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM ET

Day 2 will consist of a limited number of 60-minute, virtual one-on-one sessions with selected vendors.  If your organization is interested in participating in one-on-one market research meetings with DHS, please access the One-on-One Market Research Meeting Request link in the ATTACHMENTS/LINKS section herein. Please note that, due to time and resource constraints, DHS will exercise discretion in selecting vendors for these individual meetings. All meetings will be conducted in a manner that ensures full compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements. Participation in these meetings will not provide any vendor with an unfair advantage.

Each meeting will include:

  • A live demonstration of the vendor’s Occ Health EHR/MIS solution, focused on the key requirement areas above; and
  • Time for questions and discussion with DHS participants, anticipated to include OHS, DHS OCIO, and Component clinical/occupational health leadership.

Intended Participants

  • Industry:
    Vendors offering occupational/employee health EHR/MIS platforms or modules; vendors with complementary capabilities in interoperability, identity/SSO, analytics, or occupational data management; and system integrators with relevant experience.
  • Government:
    OHS leadership and technical staff, including Total Workforce Protection Directorate (TWPD) and Health Information Systems and Decision Support (HISDS); DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer; Component occupational health, safety, and medical representatives; and DHS acquisition personnel.
