The next Office of Advocacy Small Business Roundtable will be held virtually on February 5, 2026, at 1 PM ET on the Microsoft Teams platform. The discussion will be on small entity perspectives for future legislative proposals on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ensuring that small entities have a voice as national legal frameworks begin to form.

On December 11, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14385 entitled “Ensuring a National Policy Framework for Artificial Intelligence.” The Executive Order instructs the Special Advisor for AI and Crypto and Assistant to the President for Science and Technology to prepare legislative recommendations to establish a federal policy framework for AI.

Advocacy is seeking input from small entities on how Artificial Intelligence should be defined and what parameters, if any, should be placed on any regulations of their programs. Advocacy has found small businesses are catching up with big businesses in adopting artificial intelligence. Ensuring that small entities express their concerns and ideas will help prevent any future oversight of AI does not unduly impact their adoption of innovative technologies.
