Lowell Creek Flood Diversion Industry Day
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, will conduct an Industry Day to improve Industry’s understanding of USACE’s DESIGN-BID-BUILD, Lowell Creek Flood Diversion project located in Seward, Alaska, answer questions on the project and gain an understanding of how the contractor community can support this project.
REQUIREMENT:
Lowell Creek Flood Diversion System
- Construction of the inlet diversion structure.
- Construction of an 18ft diameter, 2,000ft long tunnel.
- Construction of an outlet flume.
- Refurbishment of existing tunnel
- Select tree removal of 48” at breast height upstream of the inlet diversion structure.
- Contract award anticipated for 1Q FY27.
Feedback from the Industry Day participants on the following areas is requested:
- Feedback on construction schedule and sequencing.
- Feedback on site access and traffic control.
- Feedback on unionized labor agreement.
The goal of this industry day is to:
- Familiarize the industry with the requirements at Lowell Creek, Seward, Alaska.
- Receive feedback from industry.
