Industry Day – Delaware River, Philadelphia to Sea Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Project

The event will be held virtually on May 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM via a Teams meeting.  A link will be provided to all registered contractors at least two days prior to the event.

The purpose and focus of the event will be to seek dredging industry input and their questions regarding best practices for the technical execution of the placement of sandy dredged material from the Brandywine Range of the Delaware River, Philadelphia to Sea Deep Draft Navigation Project main channel onto 2 or more of the Delaware Bayshore communities indicated above.  Material in the channel has been characterized as predominately sand, based on the historic vibracore sampling and testing to a depth of -50 feet MLLW, and past dredging events to at least -45 feet MLLW depths.  Work is in a dynamic coastal environment with shallow water extending for several miles from these communities out into the Delaware Bay.

The meeting will allow for attendees to have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback or concerns.
