Taggart Lake Renewal, Grand Teton National Park (GRTE) Site Visit
Project Description
The National Park Service is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for construction of the Taggart Lake Renewal project in Grand Teton National Park (GRTE). The project site is the Taggart Lake Trailhead and Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area, located roughly 3 miles to the northwest of Moose, WY.
The Taggart Lake Renewal project in Grand Teton National Park is a comprehensive infrastructure improvement effort focused on enhancing visitor access, safety, and sustainability at one of the park’s most heavily visited trailheads. Taggart Lake Trailhead and Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area are located roughly 3 miles to the northwest of Moose, WY. The project includes expanding and relocating the existing Taggart Lake Trailhead parking area to accommodate 140 vehicles, upgrading the trailhead with new vault toilets, water filling station, and improved signage, resurfacing and regrading trails to meet ABA accessibility standards, and removing and rehabilitating the existing parking lot and trailhead areas. Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area will include replacing existing infrastructure with accessible picnic facilities, improved parking to accommodate 13 vehicles, and upgraded visitor amenities. All work to be completed within 2026 and 2027 with visitor access to Taggart trails being closed in 2026.
SITE VISIT, Industry Day:
A site visit and industry day will be held for this project during the pre-solicitation phase. Due to anticipated site conditions during the solicitation phase, this will be the ONLY SITE VISIT for this project. The projected solicitation phase will begin between January 2026 and April 2026; this site will be unavailable due to snow loads during winter months.
